Nominate companies that meet the selection criteria. Nomination for self or from peer is allowed
Review
This involves an independent external review of the provided information to determine solution eligibility for listing. Registrations with detailed information stand better chance of being shortlisted.
Shortlisting
Undertake in-depth review and categorization of nominated company for shortlisting by screening committee
Voting
Open voting by industry peer to determine final companies to be enlisted – meaning your vote counts!
Enlist
This is the final process which involves actual enlistment on the Africa RegTech Horizon alongside other transformative RegTech companies.

Selection Process
Judges will be looking for evidence of success in the following criteria:
Impact
Reflects significant achievement and positive impact on the customers they serve.
Solution providers significant improvements to the customer/user experience while addressing considerations such as timeliness, effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency.
Innovation
Provides innovative regtech solution or innovative use of technology to address
challenges in regulatory reporting, risk management, compliance, etc.
Demonstrating what is unique about nominees’ product/services.
Value
Provides KPIs/statistics or other metrics that demonstrates success of the solutions and what value it provides for the customers/industry.
Judging Criteria
- The panel is carefully selected to ensure the judging process is fair and objective.
- An independent panel of recognised and expert leaders will determine the selection into the REGTECH HORIZON-100 ‘Hall of Fame’ Listing.
The selection process will aim to deliver a balanced judging assessment from industry leaders who will bring their extensive knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise to the judging process. This will ensure that the winning entries are truly outstanding and worthy of recognition.

Nominations for the RegTech HORIZON-100 ‘Hall of Fame’ Listing are open to regtech solution providers solving some of Africa’s biggest challenges. Anyone can nominate a regtech solution provider (financial institutions, consultants, solution providers and end-user companies). Marketing agencies can also enter on behalf of their clients.
General guidelines
- Please Carefully Read the Following Information before Submitting the Nomination Form:
- Nomination is FREE
- Only regtech companies with focus on Africa are qualified to participate.
- Nominations can come from regtech companies, financial institutions, consultants, solution providers, marketing agencies or end-user companies.
- The nomination form must be filled English Language.
- To qualify for the Jury Level Evaluation, the companies need to meet the minimum criteria set.
- The information provided by the nominees should be relevant, accurate and precise for better understanding of the niche, scale of operations and problem being addressed. The clearer the information provided, the greater the chances for qualification to the next stage.
- Nomination forms with false or incomplete information shall be subject to direct disqualification without any prior notice.
- Submission of nominations constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions and the decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
- Only selected companies for final enlistment would be required to pay the Acceptance Fee, Media Promotion and Logo usage rights fee.
- Application information will be used for editorial purposes only.
- All scores will be kept confidential. They will not be released publicly, nor will they be discussed with any individual applicants.
- The information you provide in your application will be used for judging the awards and potentially for articles in the HORIZON-100 digital publication.
